Josh first got involved with dance music whilst still at school saving his pocket money to buy Ragga records then progressing to Jungle. His first experience of House & Garage came when got dragged; protesting against anything that wasn't Drum & Bass, to Freek in the Manor at the aptly named Manor Club. The defining moment hit when MK's Freek & You graced the scene, from that moment on it was all about House & Garage for Mr Grooves!
During this time Josh learn't how to mix using his mum's JVC turntable a Soundlab deck and the MRT 60 mixer before stepping his game up and leaving the belt driven world of mixing behind for some brand new 1210's.

Throughout the early stages of his musical journey Josh dabbled with production but focused more on Deejaying graduating from being a bedroom Deejay playing at few friends house party's to playing on radio (Taste Fm) and the under 18's circuit.

After a while Josh took a break from Deejaying on radio, this led to him going back to college and university to study music technology whilst honing and improving his production skills. Whilst going through this stage Deejaying took a back seat for Josh, but he started to get back in to the groove so to speak with radio shows on Mystic and Touch Fm culminating in the setup of Affinity Recordings in 2007.

So what's next for this London born maestro, "progression and improvement", he says with a smile, yep; the future is looking very bright for Mr Grooves!
